Marketing & MacBook Air on a sunny Saturday

I love to collect those free glasses you get when you buy packs of your favourite refreshment drink. Coca Cola had one of those giveaways again. So I got a pack of 2 bottles. When I got to the checkout, I noticed that I needed 3 (three) bottles to get a free glass. So why don’t you pack 3 bottles in a pack? Why 2? I know! So that I buy 2 packs (= 4 bottles), so that I have 3 bottles and get a glass. And next time, the same thing over again. It’s like I really need 8 litres of the drink.

The MacBook Air is out. It has one 1 USB port (but look, it’s so thin!), and I can’t upgrade it’s hardware (but look, it’s so thin!) and I can’t use a second battery (but LOOK! it’s so thin!) … ok! So it’s thin. So what? What’s that good for? I don’t know … it’s thin. It’s the new trend. Ah! Now I got it! It’s like that slim fashion phone I just got (LG Shine Titanium). It looks good, it’s pretty expensive, and I miss not being able to read my emails on the go, and much more … but it looks so good, and it shines! I think I know why the MacBook Air was made so thin. This way they can include a realsize cartoon model of Steve to expose in your room, along with a leather covered book, entitled : Mac worshiper’s guide. It’s made in genuine leather, printed on non-recycled paper and if you put the Macbook Air, the cartoon model folded on top of it, and then the book, it will still fit in a decent sized box, made of non-recycled paper, printed with lead based ink.
